Would you like to know more about the projects we have recently completed? Read our references and look at the photographs of the projects to give yourself a good idea of what we can do. For example, you can look at the purchase boilers we have delivered, but we are also proud to show you where we have installed rental boilers.
The photographs of the Kuiper en Zonen references show you what we can do. You can also see our years of experience reflected in the projects we have completed. Would you like to know more? Then please do not hesitate to contact us.
Brewery in Haïti
Kuiper en Zonen was asked to supply the steamboilers for a brewery in Haiti. For which we supplied two boilers of 14 tonnes / hour at 10 barg concession pressure. These boilers are suitable for heavy oil, light oil and gas. The complete installation was constructed, tested and trial-brewed in Ede. The installation was subsequently completely dismantled and the separate components were packaged in containers. The boilers were placed on flatracks in seaworthy packaging. The installation was transported to Haiti where we will soon be re-assembling all the separate components.
The installation is scheduled to be put into service in the 3rd quarter of 2015.
Brewery in Kilinto (Ethiopia)
Kuiper en Zonen was asked to supply the boilers for a large brewery in Kilinto (Ethiopia). For this project, we supplied two reconditioned steam boilers of 14 t/h with a 12 barg concession pressure. These boilers are suitable for both light and heavy oil.
The total delivery included:
- A deaerator for a capacity of 42 t/h at a 12 barg concession pressure
- A heater set for heavy oil
- A complete PLC control system for the entire system, including remote engineer (for remotely controlling the installation)
- A free-standing, 25 m high flue
- A spray tank for two boilers
The entire installation was first built in Ede, where it also underwent a test run. The installation was then disassembled and the components were packed in four 40 ft containers. The boilers were then packed and made seaworthy before being shipped on flatracks. The installation was transported to Kilinto, where the individual components were reassembled. A lot of work was carried out on site, including the installation of oil and steam lines, laying cables, etc. The installation was put into operation and configured correctly.
The installation was ready for use in the 3rd quarter of 2014.
Carpet factory
Kuiper en Zonen BV was asked to inspect a leaking boiler for a carpet factory. The leaking boiler was from an Italian manufacturer. Our investigation showed that the boiler was a two-pass steam boiler that was not even four years old. We replaced the boiler with a new Viessmann steam boiler, the Vitoplex 100 LS.
Two-pass steam boilers are cheap installations, but they are less reliable than three-pass boilers. We have been supplying steam boiler installations for more than 90 years and every steam boiler that we supply is a three-pass steam boiler. It is not the cheapest type of boiler, but it has proven to be the most reliable. Besides, no two-pass boiler will meet the NOx emission requirements in 2017, when the regulations are changed.
All the more reason to purchase a quality boiler from Kuiper en Zonen. We only supply quality boilers from the manufacturer Viessmann, with whom we have a close working relationship.
These boilers meet both the current emission regulations and those to be introduced in 2017.
Eneco Leiding over Noord
The new heating season started at Eneco on 1st October 2014. Approximately 95.000 homes and businesses are relying on (sustainable) heat from the Leiding over Noord project. Its construction was still in full swing before this time, but the supply of heat was continued.
A temporary gas-fired power station has been constructed as part of the Leiding over Noord project, in case Eneco had to deal with any unforeseen circumstances or delays. This was referred to as a ‘fall back system’. Six large hot water boilers with a total capacity of 70 MW could organise the production of sufficient heat, if this proved necessary.
The six rental boilers were supplied by Kuiper and sons and transported from Ede to Rotterdam with the use of special transport. The boilers were collected from Rotterdam again at the end of the project, on 30th March 2015 and used for our new rental projects.
Please watch the following short film to gain an impression of the Leiding over Noord project.
